Wright International Ltd is delighted to offer for sale this very impressive multi-purpose research vessel. The ship has benefited from having a very meticulous owner who currently lives aboard this vessel on a permanent basis. The ship was last out the water in June 2008 and in accordance with Australian Maritime Law, the ship currently holds a USL Class 2C certificate allowing it to operate up to 50 nautical miles offshore as a commercial ship for 10 passengers plus four crew. This is very much a true multi-purpose ship that could easily win contracts looking for operations including Dive Support, ROV Operation, Survey, Standby Ship, Coral Reef Research, Accommodation, Motor Yacht, Mother Ship to Fishing Industry, Squid Jigger, Bottom Lining, Pot Lining and more. The engine onboard this ship is a Niigata 6MG25BX diesel engine producing around 750hp. This engine has proved to be extremely reliable and economical and only consumes around 70-80 litres per hour when cruising between 8-10 knots.
The engine room has been completely serviced and painted with items such as the salt water pump, air start compressor, main engine Governor all having been serviced or rebuilt recently. The fuel and water tanks have also been recently inspected and at the time of listing this ship, the ship comes for sale with around 12,000 litres of fuel onboard. The gearbox offers a hydraulic 2:1 reduction and is connected to a Knome, 4 blade controllable pitch propeller with Kawasaki electro-hydraulic steering.
Onboard this vessel you also have a Yanmar 6KFL UT auxiliary engine providing around 250kva and 500amps. The electrical system onboard includes:-

This vessel began construction in 1979 by Nipponkai Heavy Industries Co Ltd in Japan. The ship was first launched in March 1980 and at the time of launch, was seen as one of the best ships in the world by many.

The accommodation onboard is for a maximum of 20 guests in 9 cabins. This is split into 1 x 4 berth: 1 x 3 berth, 3 x 2 berth; 2 x doubles, one single with an additional two bunks on the bridge. The berths all have new mattresses, new linen and new covers.
The galley onboard will soon have you thinking you are on a restaurant ship and not a research vessel. The galley offers:-

• Adjustable height large grill
• 2 burner wok stove and outside barbecue and cooking facilities
• Pots, pans, knives, forks, plates, plus all other accessories
