The ship has benefited from having a very meticulous owner who currently lives aboard this vessel on a permanent basis. The ship was last out the water in June 2008 and in accordance with Australian Maritime Law, the ship currently holds a USL Class 2C certificate allowing it to operate up to 50 nautical miles offshore as a commercial ship for 10 passengers plus four crew. The engine room has been completely serviced and painted with items such as the salt water pump, air start compressor, main engine Governor all having been serviced or rebuilt recently. The gearbox offers a hydraulic 2:1 reduction and is connected to a Knome, 4 blade controllable pitch propeller with Kawasaki electro-hydraulic steering.
