24 metre Aluminium mono-hulled craft custom designed to provide an excellent level of comfort and practicality for most activities. Carrying a maximum of 15 passengers, She is fully air-conditioned, and designed to offer a relaxed atmosphere with exceptional deck space, making it perfect for scientific research, aquaculture research, dive exploration and more.
Cabins are located below deck and can be configured in either a double or twin format, depending on your requirements. One single cabin is available on request. Three well-appointed bathrooms are located on the main deck with easy access from all cabins. Guests can directly access these facilities when returning from work; a feature that is appreciated and often commented upon by guests.
This vessel is in contact with the outside world via satellite phone, fax and email. She is also equipped with two onboard desalinators so there is always plenty of water for bathing and drinking.
She also carries smaller expedition vessels, which allow passengers greater flexability to surrounds.

The Parmelia is set up for lifting and deploying marine equipment, the vessel can accommodate 19 staff. In current survey Australian 1D and 2D she is ready and willing to work. Licenced to carry 49 day passengers or you can overnight 17 passengers with 3 crew! Powered by twin Iveco 180kw turbo diesels on a shaft drive, with only 4500 hours worked, both engines work at an economical 25 litres per hour and are salt water cooled. Fuel capacity of 2400 litres, cruising speed of 8kn and a top speed of 10.5kn and she has her own desalinator. She boasts 3 phase shore power, 8 twin share cabins (+2 extra beds), 3 showers, 3 toilets, a large full commercial galley including a huge 3-door commercial fridge and 340 litre freezer, huge oven, commercial sized dishwasher, a 12000 litre water tank and a 400 litre electric hot water system. Entertainment is well catered for with a 200CD stacker and stereo and a 1200mm flat screen TV and DVD player. The helm is fitted out with a 2007 Raymarine GPS/sounder/plotter, a 27meg HF/VHF radio, compass, 2 gensets and radar. She also has a 1 tonne crane on the aft deck for easy loading and carries 2 tenders (1x5.9m full biminied punt with a 2t payload capacity / 1x5.5m ali punt). The safety gear on board includes V-sheet, 60 life jackets, flares, 14+ fire alarm system, EPIRB and a full mechanical bilge system throughout the vessel.
