SPV WindCheetah " A Very strong seaworthy Crowther 50 with a proven ocean going history! Indonesia, Micronesia, Guam, 2 Southern Ocean crossings and has just returned to Perth having completed a 4000 Km environmental study in the Kimberley. Built to West Australian survey standards in Bunbury and launched in November 1994, WindCheetah is very customer friendly and a pleasure to sail in virtually any weather, sailing as close to the wind as a good mono-hull. 2 brand new engines (53hp Isuzu Diesel) have been installed and have less than 20 hours on them. The vessel is spacious, has a good layout, is fully air conditioned, with galley down. With the traveller on the cabin roof the huge shaded cockpit area is totally free for entertaining. This business has excellent figures considering it is run part time and offer huge potential for growth. Is located in Dunsborough WA and also has a pen leased pen in Fremantle that goes with the vessel. This Crowther was stability tested for 50 passengers and sleeps 8 however current owners have the vessel in 1C 33 (30 Miles from safe anchorage) / 2B 8 (100 Miles from safe anchorage) with a crew of two. |

An excellent work boat. Seriously well built in 1988 by Degroot Engineering. All running gear was replaced in November 2006 including engine, prop and shaft. Main eengine, Scania D112 EMS S6TDE has only 2700 hrs on her. Full electronic controls incuding you stick steering from 3 stations. In 3B survey, with a good electronics package, this boat is ready for immediate work.
She is owner driven and maintained and rides very dry and sea friendly. Crawling through the bilges, I noted no electrolysis and very dry and neat. Priced for immediate sale. |
