Built in 1994, this vessel presents extremely well. Powered by a 2003 MANN V12 with approx 6000 hrs. Sprints at 26 knots and cruises at 18 knots on a very economical 50-60 lts hr. She has had a full respray in 2008. Throughout the vessel, she is well appointed and owners should be complimented for their high standard of maintainance. Complete with 3 forward berths, stove and icebox, microwave and hot water with shower, she can do the extended stays with ease.
A good electronics package is included with TMQ, JRC and Furuno technology.

So where is it? Not USA as no hurricanes; not Caribbean as too many facilities.
We refer to Western Australia (Swan River, Fremantle and Perth to some …but there are many other places).
Isn’t it a bit far away? Most people don’t realise that Perth is only 8998 miles from London and if you fancy a stop over in Mauritius it’s on the way.
What type of boat is best?
With the low cost fuel and so many places to visit a sports motor cruiser is the preferred choice; especially as this permits bridge clearance for the Swan River.
How do I charter one? Like most places in the world you cannot (unless it’s a skippered one). The answer is a boat share which in Australia is incredibly inexpensive, at only £539 per week for a SeaRay Sundancer. The saving in hotels alone pays for this. Of course with a boat share there is a capital investment, in this case, £14,850 but you get most this back (less depreciation) when you finish.
Interested? I am offering my fifth share in Sea>Rapier having used it now for three cruises, usually for four weeks at a time. Last year I had it all over Christmas and the New Year (where else could you get a vacation at this cost for that period). I get a long summer window of use by letting the local Aussie sharers have it the rest of the year.

A very large capacity vessel. Built in 1968 full full Lloyd spec. Powered by 16 cyldr, 2400 hp English Electric. Has 2 large Cummins Gensets (approx 80KVa). Oily Water separator, Cummins Aux for hydraulics, compressors and many additional components in the engine room. All manuals and service logs on board. She sleeps 11 in 5 cabins. Galley, mess etc all catered for.
On the aft is a large Hiab crane and many winches. There are also some nets. Refrigeration is on the main deck and below deck with snap frezeers, cold stores and ice rooms.
The helm contains radar, plotter, 2 x sounders, weather fax, autopilot etc.
She has been located at this yard in the water for some years and not run. Will take some attention in the engine room to get her going again, but priced accordingly. She is extremely well built and large ocean going vessel. A refit and it would be a very cheap way to own this vessel. The fact that she has had no work done on her for a few years is a credit to her build as there is no major rust evident throughout the vessel. Inspection worth while. |
