34.7m aluminium new build passenger ferry is offered for sale. The hull is built to Germanischer Lloyd Class 100A5 for international or Australian operation. The builder has used a lifetime of skill as a builder, owner and operator of large passenger ferries. Due to his retirement this vessel is surplus to requirement. 3 x Caterpillar 3412E engines rated up to 1200hp. 2 x 85 kVA generators. Passenger numbers are between 250 and 300, depending on configuration, classification society and area of operation. Western Australia produces some of the highest quality aluminium commercial vessels in the world, and this one is no exception. Emphasis is on quality aluminium construction (warranted for 5 years) and bullet proof mechanical fit out. Extensive use of stainless steel pipe work and valves. Very simple and easy to maintain fit out. A proven design and economical to run, at 28 knots fuel usage is approximately 600 litres per hour. Top speed is 35 knots. The vessel will be presented fully completed to the purchaser. All engineering and mechanical equipment is purchased and currently being installed. This 34.5m steel 22 passenger charter vessel was quality built by Jrou-Ryou Shipbuilding Company in Japan in 1991. Imported to Australia in 1999, she was converted into a tuna lonliner. A good sea boat and very manoeverable, suitable for a variety of uses.
The 13 knot hull speed is achieved with the Niigata 6MG-22HX @ 750rpm, derated to 500kw. Two Niigata gen sets give 150kw each. The 7 brine tanks hold 45 tonne, and can be run as a freezer at -20 degrees celsius. The refrigeration is fully automatic. The 6 tonne bait freezer is near new.
The fully airconditioned accommodation includes a skipper's cabin, 2 x 2 berth cabins and 2 x 4 berth cabins. A well appointed stainless steel galley with spacious lounge.
Comprehensive fishing equipment includes 2 x Hamilton Engineering spools, each holding 50Nm of 4mm mono. One spool is set up for fully independent bottom set lines.
