In 2006 the vessel was brought to the Netherlands and converted into a seagoing family ship. The Bordermaid has made many sea voyages from the Bay of Biscay to England, Ireland, and the Caledonian Canal.

This lovely classic wooden cruiser was built in Galway in Ireland by the Hickey Classic Boat Builders in 1969. She was out of the water in 2019 for blacking. In 2016 she was replanked as necessary then repainted and surveyed. The windows were also removed and resealed.
The canopy is sound and quite recent. The aft cockpit is spacious with a new helmseat and seating at the stern. The fridge is located under the helmseat

This 1963 Miller Fifer 26 was brought by the present owner around 16 years ago and he immediately started a complete renovation of the boat. The majority of the work has been done but there is still quite a lot involved in finishing her off. Everything needed to finish her off is present and there are boxes of brass fittings, new parts, old parts, the list is endless. There are around 8 boxes of brand new ropes.
